Family support
Many families have benefited from the support provided through the Family Fund from SPLIT for travel, accommodation, equipment and essential expenses.
Social Workers and Specialist Nurses are able to help you in applying for support.
Family support
My daughter had her liver, bowel and pancreas transplant in May 2024. This was the scariest time of both our lives and I felt very alone being so far away from home, family and friends. But the brightness in the dark was the SPLIT charity. Their help and support was such a relief, from pizza afternoons to the SPLIT bag with the essential we needed in. There was always a shoulder around to cry on or someone to bring a smile back to our faces. Now when I look back on her transplants I don’t just have bad memories of PICU or operations, I also have good memories to look back on, of kindness and support. I cannot thank the charity enough for helping us and I know this will continue to more families in the present and future.
